2019 HONOLULU PRINTMAKERS 91st ANNUAL EXHIBITION
Under the Banyan becomes part of the Art in Public Places Collection, which enhances the environmental quality of public buildings and spaces throughout the state for the enjoyment and enrichment of the public. The banyan tree, considered sacred and representative of eternal life, is also a human symbol. In contemporary India, it is the national tree. Its linked roots and branches are sometimes used to symbolize the country's unity.
